Trans Jogja Or Regular Public Bus

Jogja have 2 kinds of city public bus :

1. Trans Jogja
2. Regular Bus

Previously jogja only have Regular Bus(Aspada,Kobutri,Kopata) with 14 Destination (In Bahasa we call as "JALUR") and mark with number (1,2,3,etc).

You can stop it everywhere even you can't find shelter bus in your destination. For example : sometime you want to stop at Toko Progo but no shelter bus there. So don't worry, just ask to driver assistant (bahasa : kernet) to stop there (note : you can see some "Can't stop here" mark there).

There's the advantage of regular bus, but don't hope you can get more pleasure like better bus chair,air conditioner,silent bus machine. Yeah, no much regular bus working in better condition, i think this make sense because you just pay for Rp 2,000 for 1 trip (more than 4 km), how they can recondition their bus.

View months ago, Jogjakarta Government make a decision to adopt Trans Jakarta Bus in jogja. We call that Trans Jogja.

It adopt without the lane like Trans Jakarta Bus because jogja didn't have wide street like Jakarta.
It consist of 6 Lane 1A,1B,2A,2B,3A,3B. Trans Jogja Bus have an air conditioner facility, comfortable chair, clean bus and have a regular schedule.

But you must stop on the shelter bus, that maybe is to long from your destination. Example : If you want to stop in toko progo (Toko Progo again!!!!) you must stop at SMP Tarakanita (Senopati Junction) which near 1 km from Toko Progo.
Pay Rp 3,000 and you can go around jogja, oh i forget, you can change your lane to other lane without repay as long as you not quit from shelter bus.

Some tourist choose Regular City Bus to get their destination, they said because it faster than Trans Jogja Bus which will go around first before go to your destination.
